I'm Shahram, a self-certified weirdo with a few decades worth of mismatched credentials that have sent me half way around the world and landed me a job that (I like to think) I have a knack for: taking things apart and figuring out how they work.
Education & Experience
I studied Central and Eastern European History at the University of Glasgow before quickly realising that I'd specialised in unemployment. After nine and a half years of working in London, I finally worked up the courage to trade in my three hour daily commute for a seven minute commute by the coast in sunny central coast California.
Favourite Fixes
Aside from converting everything in sight from American English to English, my favourite fix/mod has been a Micro-USB to USB-C conversion.
This was also my first foray into both soldering and micro-soldering.
My kids accidentally broke a micro-USB cable and instead of replacing it with another micro-USB, I decided to just convert the port to something hardier. I spent a couple of weeks researching and a solid 2 days at the iron but it was worth it!
More About Me
When not tinkering or studying, you'll usually find me playing Minecraft with my boys or out exploring my surroundings. I do like to keep busy so more often than not I'll be planning a new project or actively working on an old one.
