Projects/Repairs
- I designed a replacement filter port for a GP-7v gas mask and had it 3d printed in nylon. I wanted a respirator for painting and soldering, but I also wanted to use something interesting; a conversation starter. The included era filters aren’t asbestos tested and don’t use standard threading, so I redesigned the port to allow me to use modern CBRN (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear) filters -it is a gas mask after all-, and paints respirator filters.
- I am currently working on designing an ergonomic stand and macro-key pad for a 3Dconnexion Space Traveler 3d mouse. Often, CAD engineering positions will require their hires to know how to use a 3d mouse to navigate as they greatly improve productivity. Unfortunately, they are ridiculously expensive. While I did manage to get an old one on eBay for relatively cheap, it is missing several features newer models have. I plan to add those features and many more myself. Before anything else, I am focusing on designing the macro-key pad.
